Bloomington, M.P. 126.6

The headquarters of the Alton Railroad, Bloomington was the heart and soul of that railroad and remained so under the GM&O wings. Dispatchers were housed on the 2nd floor of Bloomington Union Station. The station hosted trains of the GM&O along with NYC Subsidiary Peoria & Eastern, and at one time Nickel Plate.

The station features an unusual overpass which was actually built into the station building's south face. I recently spent a couple of hours scratch-building the bridge. The station building is still in the works and is constructed from Walthers Cornerstone building walls.
